MOTHERHOOD // LIVING ON CAFFEINE AND POWER NAPS

Isn’t motherhood great? Your body¬†goes from functioning on 8-10 hours of uninterrupted sleep, to less than 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep (if you’re lucky) with a bunch of power naps until night time and you get to go through this whole sleep deprivation thing again.

When I was pregnant, people would tell me “make sure to get enough sleep now while you still can”, which made me want to punch them in the face. None the less I did. (Sleep, not punch them in the face.) But even with the solid 12 hours of sleep a day during the last 4-6 weeks before Logan came, somehow I am now still tired? Eh I must have understood them wrong. I thought the hours would accumulate and when baby is here and I am super tired, I just cash in on like 6 hours and suddenly I have this jolt of energy.
