REVIEW // The Yongnuo YN EF 50mm F 1.8 Prime Lens

It’s hard for me to write a review on the Yongnuo YN EF 50mm F 1.8 Prime Lens, knowing all I want to do is log onto Wish and shop some more! While this review is about the Yongnuo Prime Lens, I have to tell you about my experience using Wish. I ordered 4 items from them – all camera related and received my final item today, which was the lens.

Yongnuo 50mm Prime Lens Review

I really do love Wish and if you are considering ordering something from them, I’d recommend READING THE REVIEWS. If you’re interested in something make sure you read the reviews because people don’t always say if something came early or looks great but they are quick to tell you if something doesn’t fit right or if it’s poor quality.

Now to get to the review of the Yongnuo YN EF 50mm F 1.8 Prime Lens.

WHAT MARRIAGE REALLY LOOKS LIKE

There’s a stigma around marriages created by hopeless romantics who’ve been binge watching one too many rom-coms. Sorry but these “perfect” marriages are only to be found on the big screen.

Here’s what marriage really looks like:

what-marriage-looks-like

Marriage is severe bed head and morning breath. It’s being cranky because your spouse hogged all the covers on one of the coldest nights imaginable. It’s having trouble falling asleep and then, just as you near that ever-so-sweet slumber, hearing those first few notes of your partner’s snore-song.

8 THINGS I WISH I KNEW ABOUT HAVING A BABY

It’s amazing how becoming a parent can change you. MY BIRTH STORY // LOGAN

When we found out I was pregnant, a sea of emotions took over me. As I think back now, all I remember was crying profusely while I watched the Clear Blue Digital Pregnancy Test display “Pregnant” followed by “2-3 weeks”. I was ecstatic. I’d already taken 2 test over a span of 4 weeks prior to this one, just to be told “nope, not pregnant.” And finally here I was… pregnant!

Although my pregnancy was fairly “easy”, I did suffer from severe morning sickness and tiredness for the first 12 weeks. And so we waited for Little Logan. And waited and waited. For a full 42 weeks. Yup you read right, a WHOLE 42 weeks! Now, my hospital bag was packed at around 32 weeks. At 34 weeks I repacked it again and went through my hospital list to make sure I had everything in there. When 38 weeks came along I started looking at ways to induce labor naturally, as my doctor mentioned at my 38 week appointment “in most cases first born babies are known to be lazy and most first time moms go over their due date.”

MOTHERHOOD // LIVING ON CAFFEINE AND POWER NAPS

Isn’t motherhood great? Your body goes from functioning on 8-10 hours of uninterrupted sleep, to less than 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep (if you’re lucky) with a bunch of power naps until night time and you get to go through this whole sleep deprivation thing again.

When I was pregnant, people would tell me “make sure to get enough sleep now while you still can”, which made me want to punch them in the face. None the less I did. (Sleep, not punch them in the face.) But even with the solid 12 hours of sleep a day during the last 4-6 weeks before Logan came, somehow I am now still tired? Eh I must have understood them wrong. I thought the hours would accumulate and when baby is here and I am super tired, I just cash in on like 6 hours and suddenly I have this jolt of energy.

Importance-of-doing-a-maternity-photoshoot

I know that as soon as 30 weeks come along, a photo shoot is the last thing on your mind. With my maternity shoot I was about 32 weeks pregnant with swollen feet, a few extra kilograms accompanying me and sweating all. the. damn. time! Lucky for me our photographer was absolutely amazing and knew exactly how to pose me to make sure I look fabulous!
